Design Stage

This project explores the design of a contemporary double bedroom that balances comfort, material richness, and spatial clarity. The concept focuses on creating a calm yet characterful environment through controlled lighting, warm finishes, and layered material contrasts.

The bedroom is organised around a low platform bed that acts as the primary architectural feature within the space. Subtle integrated underlighting visually lifts the platform, reinforcing a horizontal emphasis and enhancing spatial depth. The headboard wall is framed in leather, introducing texture and tactility. Two vertical belt-like brown straps create a structured composition, adding rhythm and a subtle industrial reference while anchoring the sleeping zone.
Storage and circulation were carefully planned to maintain openness. The built-in wardrobe integrates glass-fronted sections with internal lighting, enhancing visual depth while supporting efficient organisation. A compact study desk is positioned along the perimeter wall, allowing the room to accommodate both rest and focused work without compromising spatial balance.

The bathroom continues the contemporary language through a restrained material palette. Large-format grey tiles establish continuity, while black fixtures and detailing introduce contrast. A suspended chain-light feature and circular mirror add sculptural character, balancing minimalism with expressive detailing.
